Today would have been Ronnie Van Zant's 65th birthday. A great, great talent gone much, much too soon.

In that spirit, we're revisiting our talk with Ron Eckerman--tour manager for Lynyrd Skynyrd and survivor of the tragic plane crash--all detailed in his incredible book, Turn It Up.

Ron skillfully tells a story of the band & its personalities with while providing real behind-the-scenes insight that'll make you feel like you were there. Turn It Up is a MUST READ for rock fans of all kinds. Or just fans of a great story, well told.
