Perhaps the very worst sports radio station in the history of broadcasting was an atrocity known as SportsFan 990--KFCD-AM in Dallas, Texas.

But, every dark cloud has a silver lining. And mine was meeting tour de force broadcaster Dave Michaels.

Dave is the head of the North Texas Sports Network and DavRadioProductions.com. He'll be broadcasting the Guns & Hoses boxing tournament this weekend, benefitting fallen police, firefighters, and their families.
